This week, I wanted to skip on talking about my favorite products/ingredients and talk about how important time is when it comes to skincare.
I think we've all had skin problems at one point in our lives and wanted a way to fix the problem immediately. Sometimes, there are ways to deal with the problem immediately, for example, if you had an allergic reaction to some ingredient in a skincare product, you can see improvement in a couple of days if you cut that skincare out of your routine. However, if you're dealing with problems like acne, wrinkles, eczema, or other chronic skin problems that just occur naturally, it's much more difficult to see results from using products in a matter of days.
I've dealt with acne and eczema throughout my whole life, so I know how much it sucks to deal with a skin problem without seeing results immediately. But throughout my skin journey, I've realized I need to give products time to do their jobs before saying its useless for my skin. Although I have eczema, with a consistent routine, I've managed to improve my eczema and acne significantly. Again, the results weren't immediate; I stuck to a consistent routine for about 9 months now which is what I believe was the main contribution to the improvement of my skin. Of course the skincare I'm using played a big role as well, but without giving it time, I wouldn't have been able to see the results that I have today.
With consistency and time, I went from getting a couple of new pimples on my face every day from getting 1 or 2 pimples every month. If you still don't believe time and consistency is key, I'll let these pictures speak for itself:
Don't mind the eyes being censored and my half-opened mouth, I was making a weird face hahaha
Anyways, I'll talk about the main ingredient that has helped my skin improve drastically next week! Stay tuned and thanks for reading!
